Those of you who have been glued to the comments–and, really, who hasn’t–may be curious who this “Nalani” person is. This is who:

The orange and camo one with the hot dog. It’s her fault that I’m married: she introduced me to Stephan. This picture was taken on an illegal camping weekend (mixed company with no college-approved chaperone*) about 3 weeks after I met him, and I was already in love.
I met Nalani my freshman year of college when she roomed with one of my friends from high school. I absolutely hated living in the dorm, but in retrospect, it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me: first it brought me Nalani, and then it brought me Cenaida (my sophomore year roommate, chosen almost at random by the dean).
I do have to say, though, that our friendship was really cemented this one time when, driving back to school from the coast, Nalani ate leftover spinach fettucine sun-dried tomato alfredo from a jar while I steered from the passenger seat.
Several years later, she got married and moved to Arizona and had some adorable and/or giant children. Who are all coming to visit in July and I can’t wait.
So now you know.
* Note to college administrators wishing to revoke my diploma: Nalani and I and this other girl slept at the top of a hill in a freezing-cold tent and Stephan and this other boy slept at the bottom of the hill in a cozy canopied pickup bed. Nothing to see here.

Nalani and I were just talking the other day singing the praises of your blogging – you really are amazing at it, you know. Witty, intelligent, knowledgable, and hilarious – you should be paid for your writing. :)
KnowledgEable, that would be.
Oh, you.
I do accept donations. :)

i was totally thinking about that fettuccine incident the other day, haha.

oh wait. boo. it was not a category :(
i don’t rate high enough to be a category…just post history…
It’s okay; nobody has their own category yet but Stephan. I bet if you moved to Portland so I had more opportunity to write about you, you’d get a category sooner.
