About as good a day as possible with Stephan out of town.
First, though, there was sadness at work because I listened to sappy music from our reception list on the iPod this afternoon. And it turns out that Stephan is the meaning in my life; he is my inspiration.
But then it was Library Day! Five new books to read and two new books to listen to on Best Road Trip Ever 2007.
And I did not have to sit at home by myself and cry all evening because Tony came over, and there was a very exciting iPod purchase, dinner downtown, and–hooray!–more books at Powell’s on accident when the Internet (shame on you!) lied to me and said that the Adidas store closed at 9, when really it closed at 8.
Apparently, I am a “bad friend” because I encourage impulse purchases of books for wee family members. Apparently, I am also a “bad person” because when perusing books in the children’s section, I forget to self-censor my proclamations that “kids aren’t that smart.”
Dear whatever parents heard me: clearly not your kids.
