I always find it hard to blog after I haven’t for a while, because I feel like it needs to be something earth-shattering to be worthy of such a post. Then I decided that that was ridiculous, and so am returning from early and ill-advised semi-retirement to tell you this:
I love Robert De Niro because, acting talent aside, lately he seems to always be playing a caricature of himself. Stardust starring Robert De Niro as Robert De Niro playing a gay pirate! Analyze This/That starring Robert De Niro as Robert De Niro playing a mob boss!
Of course, this self-caricaturization tendency is also the reason that I hate Tom Hanks.
Calm down, Internets; it’s allowed. America said I could.
